Katharina "Kate" Krieg was born 28 October 1859 in Legelshurst, Baden and baptized 6 November 1859 at the Evangelische Kirche in Legelshurst. She married John Michael Fowerbaugh/Fauerbaugh 27 February 1883 at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Huntington County, Indiana. She died 11 April 1888 Union Township, Huntington County, Indiana, age 29 years. She lies buried at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery. Her tombstone reads: "She was a kind and unbelligerent wife and good mother and friend to all". John Michael Fowerbaugh and Kate Krieg had two children: Albert Henry Fowerbaugh married Artesla "Artie" Hyatt and Jacob Fowerbaugh died young.
