Brent married Lou Emma Floyd 14 November 1929 in Detroit, Wayne, Michigan, USA and to this union 2 children were born; Judy and Floyd Keith.

Obituary article reads;
Brent F Compton, 57, of the Burnetta community, died December 11 at the City Hospital after a short illness. The son of the late Silas and Rosa Warner Compton, he was born January 5, 1905. He was married to Lou Emma Floyd November 14, 1929 in Detroit Michigan. Mr Compton was a deacon and member of the Burnetta Baptist Church. He was a farmer and a member of the Sievers Lodge P&AM No. 491 at Nancy, Kentucky.

Survivors include his wife, 1 son Floyd Keith Compton, Taylor, Mich; and Judy Compton, Nancy; 3 sisters, Mrs. Cleo Wilson, Nancy; Mrs. Ostel Barker, Faubush, and Mrs. Helen Barker, Nancy; 4 brothers, Minnie Elmo Compton, Somerset; John Compton, Ferguson; Herschel Glenn Compton, Detroit, Mich., and Carthel Compton, Nancy.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 13, at the Burnetta Baptist Church with the Rev. E R Prather, the Rev. Boyce Hones, and the Rev. Johnnie Waters officiating. Burial was in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens, Masonic rites were held at the church by members of the Sievers Lodge.
