The fifth daughter and eighth child of Joseph Kurtz Conwell and Hannah Belinda Boyd, she was named for her father's cousin, Cora Kurtz Hendershott (#77504446). Raised at Stillwater, she graduated from Uhrichsville H.S. in 1917 and married in W. Va. in 1919 to Lawrence Deane Bush. With Deane, she lived in Uhrichsville, Cuyahoga Falls, and then on the west side of Cleveland. After his death she married her bread delivery man on May 2, 1951 - Allen Andrew Metz. Cora was the mother of three sons: Deane Jr., Joseph F. and Richard G. After Allen died, she moved to an apartment in Avon Lake, Ohio, and died at a nursing home in Avon of colon cancer. She was the sweetest woman ever.
