Mid was the youngest of nine children, raised near Stillwater, Ohio, and graduated from Uhrichsville H.S. in 1919. On May 10, 1920, she married Earl Hutson at the Methodist Church parsonage in New Philadelphia. Mid and Earl lived in Uhrichsville their entire married lives. For many years she worked for the Uhrichsville Evening Chronicle and managed the O'Neil's home store in Uhrichsville. In June of 1970 they celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary with an open house at their home on 9th Street. Mid stayed in the 9th street house after Earl died. She died rather suddenly after being admitted to Twin City Hospital for a ruptured bowel.
