DIED NEAR HEMINGWAY

Hemingway, Oct. 27. - Mr. Johnny Huggins died at his home near Hemingway, Friday afternoon, October 23, after an illness of several months.
He was the son of George Samuel Briley Huggins and Elizabeth Timmons Huggins, the grandson of Rev. John Samuel Huggins and Zilpha Ham Huggins. His great great grandparents were George Huggins and Catherine Letitia Montgomery Huggins and his ggg grandparents were Captain John Huggins, of the American Revolution and Elizabeth White Simmons.
He was widely connected in the community and leaves a large family by former marriages, also a wife and small children. The children are: John Huggins, Jr., George Anderson Huggins, William Jackson Huggins, Albert Huggins, Mrs. H.O. Haselden, Mrs. Ebbie Cribb, Mrs. Edwin Rogers.
The following sisters and brother survive: Mrs. A.E. Flowers, Mrs. Zilpha Davis, Mrs. Henry Ginn, Mrs. Lillian Maude Huggins Buck of Florida and Mr. William James "Jim" Timmons Huggins of Hemingway.
The funeral services were conducted in Ebenezer church Saturday afternoon by Rev. M.G. Arant, pastor. Interment followed in the adjoining cemetery. Source: The County Record, October 29, 1925, Family records.
