Born Dec 10, 1919, in Washington Township, she was a daughter of the late Charles W. and Alice M. (Kleckcr) Woodring. She lived all her life in the Waynesboro area.
Mrs. Reed and her husband. George D. Reed, were married June 27, 1942, and lived at the present residence for the past 48 years.
She was employed during her early life at Stanley Co , Chambersburg, and later at Connie's Sportsware, Waynesboro, for 10 years as a machine operator.
Mrs. Reed was a member of the Quincy United Methodist Church and the church's Adult Bible Class. She was also a member of the national AARP and the auxiliary of the Mechanics SFE and Home Co. No 1, Waynesboro. Mrs. Reed was also a volunteer at the Quincy United Methodist Home.
In addiifon to her husband: she is survived by one daughter, Martha L. Sourbicr of Quincy, two sons, John E. Reed of Lugoff, S C . and DavidL. Reed of Waynesboro, two sisters, A. Caroline Bracket of York and Sara L Hade of Waynesboro; four brothers. R. Henry Woodring of
Rouzerville, Aaron C. Woodring of Waynesboro, Arthur A. Woodring of Hagerstown and Merle D. Woodring of Edenville, 11 grandchildren, and three great-grandsons.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, four brothers and a great-grandson.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Quincy United Methodist Church, with the Revs.
Patricia A Woolover and Robert Fitz officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Zion Cemetery.
