Charles W. Woodring, 59, of Rt. 1, Boonsboro, died unexpectedly at his home on Mon. [May 21, 1973].
Born in Franklin County, Pa., he was a son of Charles W. and Alice Keckler Woodring. He has been employed as a salesman for Manbeck Bread Co. for 23 years and worked part time at 7-11 Store on Frederick St. He was a member of Grace Brethren Church; and the Volunteer Fire Company of Fairplay.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife,
Mrs. Lennes Williamson Woodring;
daughters,
Mrs. Ronald Musser of Mercersburg, Pa.,
Mrs. Robert Payton and
Mrs. Calvin Wageley, both of Hagerstown;
sons,
Charles H. Woodring of Chambersburg, Pa.,
Aaron W. Woodring, serving with the U.S. Marines, stationed at Washington D.C.,
Timothy C. Woodring, at home;
sisters,
Mrs. Marshall Snyder,
Mrs. George Reed and
Mrs. Lloyd Hade, all of Waynesboro, Pa.,
Mrs. Robert Brackett of York, Pa.;
brothers,
R. Henry Woodring and
Aaron C. Woodring, both of Waynesboro,
George B. Woodring of Mercersburg,
Arthur A. Woodring of Quincy, Pa.,
Merle Woodring of Chambersburg;
and six grandchildren.
Friends may call at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, where private services will be held. Dr. Robert B. Collitt will officiate; burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Family will meet friends at the chapel on Thursday evening from 7 to 9.
The family requests memorial donations may be made to the Grace Brethren Church building fund, or the Heritage Academy.
