Funeral Held Today At Sturgeon for Mrs. Clara Bailey
Funeral services were conducted this afternoon in the Sturgeon Baptist church for Mrs. Clara Bailey, 69, well known Sturgeon resident, and mother of Mrs. Joseph Kellogg and Homer Holloway, both of Moberly. Mrs. Bailey died at 10:07 o'clock Tuesday morning after suffering a stroke of paralysis Monday. The Rev. C.D. Howell of Sturgeon conducted the service. Burial was in Mount Horeb Cemetery near Sturgeon.
Mrs. Bailey, the former Miss Clara Robinson, was born Dec. 6, 1880, and spent her entire life in and near Sturgeon. She was married to Fred Holloway on Dec. 24, 1902. after Mr. Holloway's death, she married Ernest Bailey, who also preceded her in death. She was a member of the Sturgeon Baptist church.
She is survived by three children, Mrs. B. F. Owings, north of Sturgeon, and Mrs. Kellogg and Mr. Holloway, Moberly; four sisters, Mrs. R.A. Fleming and Mrs. Blanche Capps, Moberly, Mrs. Dora Burton, Centralia, and Mrs. Willard Cook, north of Sturgeon; three brothers, Clarence Robinson, Moberly, Arthur Robinson, LaJunta Colo., and Elmer Robinson, Sturgeon; and two granddaughters, June and Carol Owings near Sturgeon.
