James E. Robinson Succumbed Saturday; Rites at Sturgeon
James Elmer Robinson died Saturday morning at the Boone County Hospital where he had been a patient for three weeks. Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Baptist Church in Sturgeon. The Rev. George L. Elledge, pastor, officiated.
Mr. Robinson was born December 26, 1884 in Boone county the son of Johnnie Robinson and Parthena Roberts Robinson. On Mar. 8, 1908 he was married to Mary Ellen Robinson who survives.
Mr. Robinson was a member of the Far West Christian Church and was a retired employee of the GM&O Railroad.
Besides his widow he is survived by one son, Elmer Robinson, Sturgeon, a sister, Mrs. Dora Burton, and a brother, Clarence Robinson both of Moberly. Also surviving are three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Three children of the Robinsons died in infancy.
Burial was in the Mt. Horeb Cemetery south of Sturgeon. The Ballew Funeral Service was in charge of the arrangements.
