Mrs. Barthena Robinson Dead-Mrs. Barthena Robinson died at the home of her son, Clarence Robinson, in Moberly, Friday, March 17, 1922. She was born on October 13, 1856, and was therefore 65 years, 5 months and 4 days old. She was united in marriage to John T. Robinson on April 20, 1871, and to this union were born 15 children, of which 7 preceded her, and the following survive: Mrs. Willard Cook, Mrs. Dora Burton, Mrs. R. A. Fleming, Mrs. J. E. Bailey, Mrs. J. L. (sic) Capps; three sons, Clarence, Arthur and Elmer; also three brothers, Daniel, Jesse and T. P. Roberts and one sister, Mrs. Margaret Goff; 21 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. In early life Mrs. Robinson united with the Christian Church at Perche and later transferred her membership to the Methodist Church at Sturgeon. Mrs. Robinson had gone to Moberly to visit her children; when she took sick and passed away at the home of her son. She had been a resident of Moberly for a number of years. Her remains were shipped to Sturgeon and taken to her residence. Funeral Services were conducted at the local Methodist church by Elder Egan Herndon in the presence of a large audience, and burial in the cemetery at Lick Fork, by the side of her husband. Her children did all that loving hands could do to relieve her sufferings, but the lord called and she obeyed the summons. Mrs. Robinson was a good mother and neighbor and will be sadly missed by her loved ones. She has gone to her reward. The Leader extends sympathy to the bereaved family.
