Gertrude Miller, 81, of rural Maple Park died April 19,1971 at the DeKalb Public Hospital.

She was born Feb. 19, 1890, the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Schule Pflugfelder. She was united in marriage on Feb. 19, 1916 to Frederick Miller at the Pierce Church parsonage.

Her husband preceded her in 1966, and she was also preceded by a brother, one sister, and three half-sisters, and a grandson.

Survivors include four sons, Francis, Harold, and Leslie all of Maple Park and Glenn of North Aurora; a daughter, Mrs. Herbert (Dorothy) Phillips, Hinckley; 19 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Miller was a member of the Pierce community United Methodist Church where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 22, with the Rev. Irvine Huber Officiating. Burial will take place in the Pierce cemetery.

Friends may call at the Nash Memorial Chapel in Hinckley on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
