Fredrick G. Miller, 77, rural Maple Park, died Monday, February 21, 1966 in DeKalb Public Hospital. He Had been in failing health since June 1965.

Mr. Miller was born in Sumersetshire, England, Feb. 14, 1889, the son of John and Fannie Close Miller and was educated in England. he was married to Gertrude Pflugfelder Feb. 16, 1916 and was a member of the Pierce Evangelical United Brethren Church of Christ since 1918, served as a steward and a trustee of the Cemetery Board and road commissioner of Pierce Township for 10 years. He was a member of the Farm Bureau and the last week the couple celbrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

Surviving are his widow; four sons, Francis, Harold and Leslie of Maple Park; Glenn of North Aurora; a daughter Mrs. Herbert (Dorothy) Phillips Jr. Hinckley; a sister, Mrs. Kate Pike, England; 20 grandchildren. He was preceded by his parents, two sisters and a brother.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Pierce Evangelical United Brethren Church of Christ, with Rev. Ervine Huber officiating. Burial will be in East Pierce Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Nash Memorial Chapel, Hinckley, after 2 p.m. Wednesday and until the time of services.
