Funeral services for Wanda L. Nelson, 60, of Wolbach were held Monday, January 3 at 8 PM in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Wolbach with the Rev. Donald Nelson officiating.

She died January 1 at Wolbach.

Mr. and Mrs. Francis Kolar sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Abide With Me" accompanied by the organist Mrs. William Paulman Jr. Casketbearers were Virgil E. Berney, Jr. William C. Berney, Scott A. Berney, Larry J. Friese, Richard L. Friese and Larry M. Paulsen. Burial was in the Hillside Cemetery. McIntyre-Jacobsen Funeral Home of Wolbach was in charge of arrangements.

Wanda Lucille Nelson was born April 21, 1916 near Cushing, the daughter of William and Hazel Stratton Borre. She received her early education in rural schools of Howard county and later attended Wolbach schools.

She had resided in Colorado and Minnesota and in 1946 she moved to Grand Island where she was employed as a waitress. Her home was at 416 North Wheeler in Grand Island. Mrs. Nelson was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Wolbach.

She passed from this life on Saturday, January 1, 1977 at the family home in Wolbach at the age of 60 years.

Survivors include her mother, Mrs. William Borre of Wolbach; five sisters, Mrs. Leland (Doris) Berney of San Gabriel California, Mrs. Kermit (Lorraine) Moffett of Vista, California, Mrs. C. (Billie) H. Fiese of Gothenburg, Mrs. Virgil (Jeane) Berney of Palmer, Mrs. George (JoAnn) Kamper of Grand Island; two brothers, Donald Borre of Hanover Park, Illinois and J. Wayne Borre of Omaha.

She was preceded in death by her father and one sister, Mrs. Vivian Moffett.

Among the out of town relatives attending the services were: Don Borre of Hanover, Illinois; Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Borre of Omaha, Mrs. C. H. Fiese, Mr. nd Mrs. Rick Fiese and Mr. and Mrs. Larry Fiese and Jason all of Gothenburg; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Berney, Bill and Scott, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Paulsen all of Plamer; Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Berney Jr. of Waverly, Mrs. George Kamper and daughters and Mrs. Harold Neumann of Grand Island.
