Graveside services will be at 11 AM Saturday at Hillside Cemetery in Wolbach. The Rev. Marsha Jark-Swain will officiate.
There will be no visitation.
McIntyre-Jacobsen Funeral Home of Wolbach is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials are suggested to the Diabetes Education Fund.
Mrs. Berney was born May 19, 1912 in Wolbach to William and Hazel (Stratton) Borre. She graduated from high school in Wolbach in 1929, and then attended St. Paul Business College for two years.
She married Leland Berney on March 29, 1934 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. They lived in San Gabriel, Calif. before moving to Bend, Ore., in 1990. Mr. Berney died May 18, 1995.
Her interests included gardening and sewing.
Survivors include one son, Robert of Bend, Ore; two grandchildren; one brother, Wayne Borre of Omaha, and three sisters, Jean Berney of Palmer, Billie Fiese of Gothenburg and Joann Kamper of Grand Island.
She was preceded in death by a son, Wayne.
