Indianola, Ill., July 22. - Joseph Jackson, 73, lifelong resident of this vicinity, died at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon at his home east of Indianola. He was stricken with a heart attack while on the back porch of his home Thursday afternoon. He had suffered with a complication of diseases for the past year.
Mr. Jackson formerly was a miller and had been a farmer, but his ill health forced him to retire from active business several years ago.
Mr. Jackson is survived by his widow and three children, Mrs. Addie Bostwick, of Hoopeston, and Mrs. Ruth Bennett and Everett Jackson, of Indianola. Three children died in infancy. Three brothers, A. P. Jackson, Enoch Jackson and Ed Jackson, and three sisters, Mrs. Perry Taylor, Mrs. Ed Goodwin and Mrs. Clay Daur, all of Indianola also survive.
