Charles Jackson
Indianola (CNS) - Charles Everett Jackson, 75, of Indianola rural route, died at 12:20 p.m. yesterday (Sept. 21, 1967) in the Veterans' Hospital at Danville where he had been a patient three and a half months.
Born Nov. 8, 1891, on Indianola rural route, he was the son of Joseph and Collista billings Jackson. He married on Dec. 21, 1924, to Lizzie Pearl Fuel, who survives.
A veteran of World War I, he was a member of Jewell Whyte Post of Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a retired grain farmer.
Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Ruth Bennett of Georgetown; and several nieces nd nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister and three brothers.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Houghton Funeral Home in Georgetown. The Rev. Frank Gilroy will officiate. Burial will be in Michael Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home where friends may call after 7 p.m. today.
