Samuel E. Carey, 76, Fargo died Thursday night at the Woodward Memorial
hospital following a week's illness.FARGO MAN
He was born at New Liberty, Mo. on April 18, 1879 and on March 1, 1901 was
married to Clara Eva Stoner, who preceded him in death in August, 1946.
In 1902 the couple came to Tangier community where they lived until 16 years
ago when they moved to Fargo. On Dec 20, 1950 Carey married Emma Root who
preceded him in death in June of 1954. He was a member of the Baptist church.
Survivors include one son, Roy Carey, Wichita; one brother, Gus Carey, Wichita; one sister, Mrs. Lee Rogers, Waukomis, three grandchildren and nine great children. Four brothers and one sister also preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p. m. in the Fargo Nazarene church with the Rev. Alden Grim, pastor of the Woodward church of the Nazarene, officiating. Burial will be in the Fargo cemetery under the direction of the Stecher Mortuary.
