Mrs. J. Lee Rogers, 69, of the Waukomis and Bison community, died in a local
hospital at 8:35 am Friday. Mrs. Rogers had been in poor health for the past
few years and seriously ill since October 14.
She was a native of Missouri and came with her parents to Oklahoma at the
opening of the Cherokee Strip when the family staked a claim six miles
southeast of Waukomis. She lived in that community until her death.
She was a member of the Pleasant Valley Christian Union church. Survivors are her husband J. Lee of the home; one brother, Gus Carey of Wichita Kans. and many nieces and nephews.
Henninger-Allen Funeral home will announce funeral arrangements.
