Rites for William C. Carey, 64 yr old Enid pioneer resident, died Wednesday
morning a hospital, will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in
chapel of the Henniger Funeral home. Rev. Robert J. Smith officiate. Burial
will be in Waukomis Cemetery.
Carey, who lived at 730 N Sixth had been ill 2 weeks, came to Enid from
Missouri years ago and entered the carpenter trade, from which he retired years
ago. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Harry dusau, J. P. Williams. O. L. St John Greer, M. F.
Priebe, and Mills
He is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. W. B. O'Banion, Enid; Mrs. Grace Beasley,
Overton, Texas; sons, John and Thurman Carey both of Enid; 2 sisters, Mrs.
Rogers, southeast of Waukomis, Mrs. Grace Boyer, Enid; 4 bros, Gus of Enid,
Ross, Burbank, Charles and Sam Woodward.
