Buell Clinton Adams, son of Isaac and Clarinda Adams was born April 26, 1856 at Bangor, New York, and died May 29, 1934, at his home near Winterset, age 78 years 1 month and 3 days.
When he was eight years old he moved with his parents to Illinois traveling by way of the Great Lakes. In a few years they moved farther west, traveling this time by covered wagon and settled near Winterset where he grew up and lived until the time of his death.
In 1879 he was married to Fannie McLaughlin who died December 24, 1882. On September 21, 1884 he was married to Anne Belle Smith of Winterset. To this union were born eight children: Harry of Winterset, Mrs. Albert Stron of Winterset, Sidney at home, Clyde of Creston, Glenn of Corning, Mrs. Glenn Wiley of St. Charles, Robert of Winterset and Gladys who died in infancy. Besides his devoted wife and children he leaves to mourn his loss, eight grandchildren, one brother, three sisters and a host of friends. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. E. E. Lister of Creston and interment made in the McDonald cemetery near Winterset.
