Emelia is the seventh of fourteen children born to Karl Friedrich August Belling and Ernestine Wilhelmine Fridricke Schultz. On September 23, 1905 she married Nathan Paine Rogers. Together they had one daughter, Helen.

Age 77, passed away at 4:43 p.m. Tuesday after an extended illness. She was October 24, 1886 in New London and has been a resident of Appleton for the past 65 years where she was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church. Mrs. Rogers is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Martin (Helen) Lueders; one brother, Emil Belling, both of Appleton; 3 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday from the Wichmann Funeral Home with Rev. Sylvester Johnson officiating. interment will be in Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday until the hour of the service.
