Karolina Anna "Caroline" Lehmann was born January 8, 1871 in the Bevant
Farmhouse north of Courtetell, Obt. Delemont, Jura, Switzerland, to Abraham
M and Marianna (Neukomm) Lehmann. At the age of 20, she left her parents and
homeland to travel to the United States and join family members including
brothers, sisters, aunts and uncles pioneering Indiana and the Mennonite
faith in America.

She married Emil Flueckiger in a Christian ceremony performed by the
Reverend H.W. Vitz in Berne, Adams County, Indiana on January 3, 1895.

Karolina died in Berne on March 26, 1949.
