1880: Life at the Monible Mill

Emma scours the book for advice on caring for an infant, for she has a one-year-old baby Selena Julia and will soon be marrying Christian Liechty in a service in Dachsfelden (Tavannes) conducted by Pastor Konig.

[NOTE: The Mennonites were not allowed to officially marry in Switzerland without years of requests and waiting for government permission. They often lived together and had children before they were able to legally marry.]
