Minnie married John Elijah (Lige) Alexander on December 25, 1907 in Polk County, TX. They were the parents of four daughters and three sons. Their oldest son, Stephen Howard Alexander, died in infancy.
After the death of John E. Alexander in 1921, Minnie married Arthur Stalcup on Dec. 18, 1926, in Houston, Texas. Arthur died of pneumonia on Dec. 31, 1927, at the age of 28 years. Minnie later married her first cousin, John Robert Davison, a son of Minnie's aunt, Mary Oates Davison. Minnie and John Davison were married January 19, 1929, in Montgomery County, Texas. This marriage later ended in separation. Later, while visiting her daughter, Nellene Long in California, Minnie met Harry R. Logue. They were married on March 16, 1951, in Sonoma County, California. They were only married 10 months when Harry Logue died in 1952. Minnie returned to Houston where she took back the Alexander name. Minnie died in Houston at the age of 89 years. She was the last surviving child of Stephen Moses Oates and Margaret Wilson Oates.

MRS. MINNIE O. ALEXANDER, 89, died December 8, 1978. She was retired from Geo. H. Dentler Co. after 30 years of service. Survivors: Son, R. H. Alexander, Houston; daughters, Mrs. Nelline Long of California, Mrs. Esther Harris of Arizona; 20 grandchildren; many great and great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Services 10:00 a.m. Tuesday North Freeway Chapel with grandsons, Dr. Gerald Canon and Rev. C. W. McCulloch officiating. Interment in Brookside Memorial Park with grandsons serving as pallbearers.

Alexander; her infant son, Stephen Howard Alexander; her infant granddaughter, Nelva Laverne Canon; her grandson, Roger H. Alexander, Jr., ; her sisters, Pearl Sheppard and Emmie Shine; her brothers, Jesse Wyatt Oates, Robert F. "Bob" Oates, John E. "Ed" Oates, Walter Hubbard Oates, C. W. "Charlie" Oates, and Bernard Oates; her second husband, Arthur Stalcup; her third (and ex) husband, John R. Davison; and her fourth husband, Harry R. Logue.
