O. E. (Everett) Baird, Jr., age 83, died Saturday, February 5, 1994 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 8 at Houston Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Chickasaw Memorial Gardens with Dr. Roger McGrew officiating. Houston Funeral Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

The son of the late Osma Everett Baird, Sr. and the late Lizzie Jane Breland, he lived most of his life in Houston where he was the retired owner and operator of Baird Machine Shop. He was a member of Houston First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mavolyn Sanderson Baird of Houston; one daughter Ellen Donovan of Huntsville, AL; one son David Baird of Salem, WI; two sisters, Willie Maude Cox of Houston and Ann Jordan of Scott Deport, W VA; one brother, Hubert Baird of Houston and four grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Larry Nichols, Bobby Sanderson, Tommy Baird, Bobby Baird, Larry Baird and Jimmy Sanderson.
