Miss Gladys Jette Baird, age 76, died Wednesday, June 5 at Houston Community Hospital. Funeral services were held Friday, June 7 at Houston Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Houston Cemetery with the Rev. Grady Bailey, Jr officiating, assisted by the Rev. Jack Inmon.
The daughter of the late Osma Everette Baird and the late Lizzie Jane Breland, she was a RN nurse. She was a member of Houston First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Willie Maude Cox of Houston and Mrs. Anne Jordon of Scott Depot, West Virginia and three brothers, Everette Baird and Hubert Baird, both of Houston and Robert Baird of West Point.
Pallbearers were Larry Nichols, Tim Baird, David Baird, Danny Paul Baird, Gerry Cox and Mike Baird.
Houston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
