James G. Courson, 80, of O'Berry Road, Kissimmee, died Tuesday, January 11. Mr. Courson was a retired machinist and past president of United Steel Workers of America, Union City, Pennsylvania. Born in Knox, Pennsylvania, he moved to Central Florida in 1978. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Knox. Survivors include his wife, Hazel E.: sons, William G. Courson, of Columbus, Ohio, David L. Courson, of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Thomas G. Courson, of Union City; daughters, Betty J. Fenton, of Pleasantville, Pennsylvania, Barbara J. Yarber, of Kissimmee, and Diane L. Shaffer, of Union City; brother, Glenn R. Courson, of Meadville, Pennsylvania; sisters, Edna L. Eddy, of Titusville, Pennsylvania, Violet E. Whitesell, of Meadville, Florence M. Hamilton, of Meadville, Ruth M. Bailey, of Cochranton, Pennsylvania, Helen B. Altman, of Knox, and Jean A. Kellogg, of Colorado; 12 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Conrad and Thompson Funeral Home, Kissimmee, is in charge of arrangements.
