O. G. Courson Of Knox RD Dies At 77
Knox - Orval G. Courson, 77, of Knox RD, died at 8 p.m. Monday in his home after an extended illness. Born in Clarion County, on May 14, 1885, he was the son of Alexander and Peninah Gohn Courson. Mr. Courson lived all his life in Clarion County. He was married to Ruth Ida Sloan, who survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 14 children, Mrs. Wayne J. Eddy and Mrs. Lee Kellogg, both of Titusville, James G. Courson, of Union City, Ernest L. Courson, of Saegertown, Glenn R. Courson and Mrs. Frank Hamilton, both of Meadville, Mrs. Ward W. Whitesell and Mrs. Merle Bailey, both of Cochranton, Mrs. Addalene Rezner, of Pittsburgh, Mrs. Paul J. Mays and Mrs. John J. Altman, both of Knox, Mrs. Chester J. Neupert, of Norfolk, Virginia, Mrs. John A. Lindahl, of Tylersburg, and Orville C. Courson, with the U.S. Navy. Also surviving are 36 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. One daughter preceded him in death. Friends may call at Roy P. Stuart Funeral Home, Knox, after 3 p.m. today. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home with Rev. Lewis R. Fox, officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul Union Cemetery.
