The funeral of Irvin D. Beard, a resident of Littlestown R.D. 2, who died Friday evening at the State hospital, Harrisburg, was held yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock from the J.W. Little and Son Funeral home, Littlestown. The Rev. Eugene Keller, a retired Lutheran minister, officited. Interment was in St. Luke's cemetery, near Bonneauville. The pallbearers were Roy Beard, Robert Beard, Roy Snyder, Harvey Pitzer, Melvin Good and Charles Good. The deceased who was 17 years old, was the son of Simon and Emma Pitzer Beard. In addition to his parents he leaves eight brothers and six sisters, all at home and his maternal grandfather; David Pitzer, Gettysburg.
