GUY L. BOWMAN

Guy L. Bowman, longtime resident of Lucas county, died Saturday, Sept. 22, at the Methodist hospital in Des Moines following a heart attack.

He was the eldest son of Perry and Matilda Bowman, born Feb. 18, 1881. He moved to Lucas county in 1909 and to the city of Chariton in 1920.

He served as a member of the board of supervisors from 1943 to 1949.

He is survived by his wife Marie, a daughter, Mrs. Lillie Card of Madison, Wis., a son, Glenn L., of Des Moines, one brother, Dell, of Derby, and a sister, Mrs. Grace Threlkeld, of Chariton. Also four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Services were held at the Beardsley funeral home Tuesday, Sept. 25, at 2 p.m. The Rev. L. A. Wilson, of St. Andrew's Episcopal church and Rev. Norman Dwight, of the Mission Covenant church officiated. Burial was made in the Chariton cemetery.

GUY L. BOWMAN

Guy L. Bowman, longtime resident of Lucas county, died Saturday, Sept. 22, at the Methodist hospital in Des Moines following a heart attack.
