Arvilla Cook Taylor, age 92, returned to her Heavenly Father on June 14, 2010 at her daughter's home in West Valley City, UT.

She was born in Cedar Fort, UT on December 28, 1917 to Barnes Alma and Alice Adeline Southam Cook.

She married Richard Foy Taylor on February 23, 1938; later sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple. Together they had five children, Margie (Bill) Martin, Geraldine (Dean) Williams, Joyce (Dave) Ehninger, Gordon (Dorothy) Taylor, Grant (Brigid) Taylor.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, filling many callings. She especially loved Relief Society and working in the Salt Lake Temple. She enjoyed family activities and gatherings. She also enjoyed traveling.

Arvilla is survived by: four of her children; her sisters, Florence Henke and Reba Kitchen; brothers, Rulon Cook, Donald Cook and Bernard Cook; nineteen grandchildren; forty-seven great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Arvilla is preceded in death by: her husband, Richard; daughter, Margie Martin; four sisters; and three brothers.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 18, 2010 at Redwood Memorial Estates Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road (1700 West), Taylorsville, UT, at 2:00 p.m. Friends may visit on Thursday, June 17, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Friday, June 18, 2010 from 1:00-1:45 p.m. at the mortuary.
Interment will follow in the Redwood Memorial Estates Cemetery.
