Rulon William Cook, 95, passed away at home on Sunday, May 3, 2015, in Spring Creek, Nevada. He was born in Cedar Fort, Utah, November 13, 1919, to Barnes Alma and Alice A. Southam Cook. He grew up on the family farm in Cedar Fort with five brothers and seven sisters. He rode horses most of his younger years and helped with Cedar Fort and Lehi Rodeos.

He married Rose Hicks on December 24, 1947. An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had many teaching assignments. He and Rose served a mission in the Atlanta Georgia Temple.

At age 18, Rulon went to work in the Mercur Mines. When WWII started, he joined the United States Navy. He served in fire control on the Battleship USS Jouett in the Atlantic and Mediterranean Theaters. For most of his life he worked in construction, mostly on bridges and roads. He loved reading books, sang in the ward choir and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.

Preceding Rulon in death are his wife, Rose; his parents, four brothers, five sisters, one granddaughter, one great-granddaughter, and a great great-grandson. He is survived by his brother, Bernard Cook; two sisters, Florence Henke and Reba (Linford) Kitchen; three children: June (Dick) Stoker, Judy (Roy) Robinson and LaMar (Elaine) Cook; 12 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 22 great-great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held Sunday, May10, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Wing Mortuary, 118 East Main, Lehi, and from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Lehi Stake Center, 200 North Center. Interment Lehi City Cemetery.
