Florence Cook Henke passed away July 19, 2015 just 6 days before her 94th birthday, in Delta, Utah. She was born July 25, 1921 to Barnes and Alice Cook, in Cedar Fort, Utah, the 8th of 13 children. She enjoyed her childhood in Cedar Fort attending schools in Cedar Fort and Lehi. She had many friends but her siblings were her best friends.

She is now enjoying a long awaited reunion with her eternal companion. Florence married Cecil Warren Henke on June 18, 1941 in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they raised a family of ten children, teaching by example, love for Jesus Christ, hard honest work, and a joy for life. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, having served in many positions.

Florence loved children, especially babies and welcomed each of 63 grandchildren with a handmade afghan and continued to crochet afghans for 161 great-grandchildren and 2 great- great grandchildren until the last year as her health failed. She was preceded in death by her husband Cecil and son Douglas (Kathleen) Henke.

She is survived by her children, Marvin (Jan) Henke, Lynn (Edna) Henke, Norman (Susan) Henke, Paul (Jane) Henke, Claudia (Wesley) Witt, Cheryl (Keith) Lawton, Owen (Jennifer) Henke, Kevin (Maryanna) Henke, Lorna (Troy) Henry; her brother Bernard Cook and Sister Reba (Lenford) Kitchen. Special thanks to Millard Care and Rehab for the wonderful care Florence has received the last three years.

Funeral Services will be held Monday July 27 at 11 am in the Draper Eastridge Stake Center 1187 East Draper Parkway, Draper, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to the funeral beginning at 9:30 am. Interment will be in the Lehi City Cemetery under the care of Olpin Stevens Funeral Home.
