Jimmy was a farmer who lived in the Baker's Chapel community of Horry County. On Sept 22, 1890 he was married by the Rev. K.P.Booth(his uncle) to Prudence Isadora "Prudie" Anderson. Prudie was born June 24, 1871 and died Feb. 17, 1903. They had three children: Willie McLaurin(Mack), Hattie beulah, Gracie Lillian.

After the death of his first wife, on Nov. 8, 1905 Jimmy married Rosa Belle Dorsey. Rosa was born May 13 1877 in Robeson County and was the daughter of John Nelson Dorsey and Margaret Moore. She was a member of Poplar church for 55 years and died Oct 2, 1962. They had 7 children: Kate Alma, James Dorsey, Paul Moore, Delia Clarkey, Clyde Nelson, Lucile Hazel and Raymond Dusenbury.
Jimmy and his wives are buried at Poplar Methodist church.
Prudence Isadora Anderson was the daughter of Jeff Anderson.

James Walker Booth, 76 years old, died at his home near Baker's Chapel last Monday about 12:40.
Mr. Booth was born in Horry county, a son of James T. and Clarkie Hucks Booth. He was a member of Poplar Methodist Church.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Rose Dorsey Booth; five daughters, Mrs. J.M. Dorsey of Gurley; Mrs. G. G. Anderson of near Conway; Mrs J. M. Ward of Aynor, Route 1; Mrs. Worth Floyd of Conway, and Miss Lucille Booth of Aynor, Route 1: five sones, Mack C. Booth of Aynor, Route 1; Dr. J. Dorsey Booth of Miami,Fla. Paul Booth of Darlington; Clyde Booth of Conway; Raymond Booth of Aynor, Route 1: three brothers; Olin F Booth of Conway Rounte 3; Rev. S H Booth of Charlotte NC, E. S. Booth of Conway, sisters Mrs. Effie Holmes of Oak Park, Ga, Mrs. Eliza Strickland of Georgetown, and Mrs. N. S. Hardwick of Aynor, Route 1, also five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
