Cecil Earl Marshall was the son of Oscar Henry Marshall and Grace Emily Driskill. The Marshall family moved from Kansas to Lonoke Co., AR in 1912. Cecil taught school in Lonoke Co. before going to work in Little Rock at the Veterans Bureau, then to the Post Office in 1939. He married Ruby Mae Pool in 1932 in Lonoke County. They had three sons and one daughter. He retired from the Post Office in 1965 and he, his wife, and daughter moved back to the Sixteenth Section Community in Lonoke County. He and his wife, Ruby Mae, celebrated their 50th anniversary on September 23, 1982, before he passed away on May, 31, 1983.
