Grace Emily was the daughter of James Sales Driskill and Mary Ellen Snyder Driskill. She taught school in Chautauqua Co., KS before marrying Oscar Henry Marshall on January 17, 1906. She was the mother of three children, Cecil Earl Marshall, Pauline Hazel Marshall, Nina Marshall Griffin Finley, and James Oscar Marshall. The family left Kansas and moved to Lonoke Co., AR in 1912. Grace was a teacher, justice of the peace, and midwife in Lonoke County.
