Pauline was the daughter of Oscar Henry and Grace Emily Driskill Marshall. She moved with her family from Kansas to Lonoke Co., AR in 1912. She graduated from Arkansas State Teachers College which is now the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, Arkansas. She taught school for many years in Lonoke County with the last years being at Ward Elementary School. Pauline never married. At the time of her death, she was survived by her sister, Nina Marshall Finley Griffin, and eight nieces and nephews.
