Arnold Adam Alcock, 70, of 3208 Memorial Avenue, Lynchburg, VA, died Wednesday, March 12, 1986 in Medical Care Center.

He was born in Bedford County, a son of the late Elijah Fletcher Alcock and Adelia Ann Leftwich Alcock. He was a retired manager for the appliance department at K-Mart and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Mead Memorial United Methodist Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma Smith Alcock; one brother, Randolph Alcock, Herndon; three sisters, Reva (Claude) Williams, Herndon; Mrs. Sarah (Harry) Reynolds, Bedford; and Mrs. Eloise (Donald) Beckstrom, Evington.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 10 a.m. at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel by the Rev. Gary Alvis with interment in Spring Hill Cemetery, Lynchburg, VA.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m.
