Myrtle Alcock May, 80, Route 4, Rustburg, died Monday, October 28, 1985 in Camelot Hall Nursing Home. She was the wife of Winston Radford May.

Born in Bedford County, she was a daughter of the late Elijah F. Alcock and Adelia Leftwich Alcock. She retired from Virginia Art Goods Studio and was a member of Mead Memorial United Methodist Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two brothers, Randolph Alcock, Herndon, and Arnold Alcock, Lynchburg and three sisters, Reva A. Williams, Herndon, Sarah A. Reynolds, Bedford and Eloise A Beckstrom, Evington.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Whitten Timberlake Chapel by the Rev. Gary F. Alvis and the Rev. Emory Ellmore. Interment will be in Fort Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home and at other times at the residence.

The family suggests those wishing to make memorials to please consider Mead Memorial United Methodist Church.
