Norman M. Runnells, 79, Cloverdale, passed away Thursday (July 19, 1990) at the Putnam County Hospital emergency room. Born in Putnam County Nov. 16, 1910, he was the son of Thomas and Hallie (Mason) Runnells. He was a retired service station attendant. Mr. Runnells was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth (Long) Runnells, on Feb. 24, 1986. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Bernhardt. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Janice Runnells, Route 3, Cloverdale; a daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Stan Curtis, Route 2, Cloverdale; two sisters, Floy DeSpain, Indianapolis, and Ruth Pritchett, Lizton; a brother, Vern Runnells, Route 2, Coatesville; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Graveside rites will be held at 3 pm Saturday at the Cloverdale Cemetery with Rev. Joe Wilson officiating.
