Mrs. Hallie Runnells, Fillmore resident, died Tuesday morning in the Golden Rule Nursing Home in Danville. A native of Hendricks County, she was born April 13, 1888, the daughter of the late Sylvester and Jennie (Thomas) Mason. She was married to Thomas Runnells on Feb. 19, 1907 and he died in May of 1961. They spent their lifetime in the Coatesville-Fillmore community where she was a member of the Fillmore Methodist Church and the Service Club.
Services will be conducted this afternoon at 2 pm in the Powell Funeral Home in Coatesville with burial in the Fillmore Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Pritchett of near Danville; Mrs. Floy DeSpain of Indianapolis; two sons, Vern Runnells of Coatesville and Norman M. Runnells of Cloverdale; a sister, Mrs. Merle Smythe of Coatesville; a brother, Everett Mason of Kokomo; 19 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
