Mrs. M.R. Everett
With deep regret we note the demise of Mrs. M.R. Everett, which occured at her home on West Linden Avenue in this city on Friday night, December 10th, 1915, after an extended illness with a complication of troubles. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. E.E. IlgenFritz, of the M.E. church, were held at the family home on Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Chariton cemetery.
Margaret Regina St.Clair was born in Derry, Montour,Pennsylvania on October 11, 1842, to Hartman and Catherine Bright St.Clair. She was married John C. Everett on November 15, 1860, in Milton, Northumberland, Pennsylvania. John died January 26, 1908. To this union eight children were born, seven of them whom are living. They are Mrs. Emma Nichols, of Colorado Springs, Colo; H.A., of Palestine, Texas; J.S., of Greenley, Nebr.; Mrs. H.F. Kumm, of Chariton; Mrs. Nora Nichols, of Newell, South Dakota; Mrs. Mae Von Kutzleben, of Burlington; J.E. of Des Moines. Forty years ago this month the family came to Chariton, Iowa, from Pennsylvania, and this place since ben there home. During her long residence her Mrs. Everett won the high regard of all with whom she came in contact by her kind, pleasnd disposition, and helpful ministrations to others. For many years she lived a faithful, christian life, having been converted in girlhood. The sorrowing children who survive will have the deep sympathy of the entire communithy.
