Joseph Ernest "Doc" Everett, 73, of 521 North Twentieth Street, died Tuesday, 7 March, 1950, at the home of a stepson, Leroy Townsend, 4507 South Thirty-fifth Street.

Joseph was born 23 December, 1876 in Lucas County, Iowa to John and Margaret St.Clair Everett. He was the youngest of eight children born to the couple.

Joseph married Ida Belle Morgan 20 November 1896 in Lucas, Iowa. To them were born five children. Ida died in 1904 at the age of 24. Only three of their children survived into adulthood.

Joseph married a second time 19 April 1909, wedding Bessie Lott in Des Moines, Iowa. To them was born one son, Howard.

Joseph married Ina Stall Townsend in Omaha, Nebraska in 1930. They lived in Omaha until his death.

Surviving him are his Wife, Ina; sons, Ernest of Eugene, Oregon, and Howard, Des Moines, Iowa; Daughters, Mrs. Jessie Peterson of Navato, California and Mrs. Ellen Cantor of Long Beach City, New York; stepdaughters, Mrs. Robert A. Matezka, Kansas City, Missouri, and A.M. Humpley, Omaha. Services, Thursday, 2 p.m.. Brewer-Korisko Chapel; burial, Forest Lawn.
