James Thomison Woollen, had just graduated from high school, and died a young unmarried man from complications of accident in military camp.
Obituary, The Chattanooga Times, Chattanooga, Tenn, Thursday, October 23, 1930, [found in 2012 at the Chattanooga Library]:
Wollen (sic) - Funeral services for James Wollen, 18, who died Tuesday night, will be held from the Methodist Episcopal Church at Dayton at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon, with the Rev. W. H. Graves officiating. Interment in Buttram cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Mag Shaver, Lois Morgan, Lois Knight, Frances Fisher, Eloise Purser, Clonal Graves, Harriet Dunlap and Ruby Welch. Active pallbearers will be Doyle Patton, Ben Purser, Robert Crawford, Ferrell Reed, Maxie Langley, Richard Langley, R. C. Wilbur and Dorman Welch. Arrangements in charge of Coulter's.
