Jenny W. Swearingen, 87, of Chattanooga, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, January 14, 2011 at the home of her son. Mrs. Swearingen was born in Dayton, Tennessee, but had lived in Chattanooga since 1954. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Ben Swearingen, and siblings, Jim, Kathleen, Coreba, Marian, Jo and Roy Lee. She was a member of Tyner United Methodist Church. She was our Mother, Grandmother, Sister,family and friend. She is loved and missed beyond words. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Richard (Barbara) Swearingen, Georgetown, TN; Bill (Sara) Swearingen, Chattanooga; Tom (Bobbie) Swearingen, Cohutta, GA; brother, Harvey (Helen) Woollen, Palm Bay, Florida; six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Edmon Stallings, Rev. Glenn Moseley and Rev. Todd Chancey officiating. Interment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
