Roy Lee Woolen, 91, of Dayton, died Thursday, September 21, 2006, in Rhea Medical Center.
He was born August 15, 1915 in Dayton the son of the late Orah Lee and Alma (Killough) Woolen.
Roy retired from Union Camp in Savannah, GA after 21 years as a machinist. He moved back to Dayton in 1978 where he loved fishing and was a member of I.A.M. Corporation. He was of the Methodist faith.
Roy is survived by his wife of 64 years, Tina (Hartness) Woolen of Dayton; his son, James (Cathy) Woolen of Big Rapids, Mich; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; his brother, Harvey (Helen) Woolen of Fla; a sister, Jenny Swearingen of Chattanooga; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Clyde Fitzgerald officiating. Burial will be in Rhea Memory Gardens.
The family is being served by Vanderwall Funeral home in Dayton where they received friends Friday 6-8 p.m.
