Obituary
Josephine Woollen Cofer of East Ridge, a native of Dayton, Tenn., died Friday, April 2, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 80.
Mrs. Cofer had been a member of Spring Creek Road Baptist Church for more than 50 years, and was in the Fidelis Sunday School Class there.
She was retired from Huffaker Insurance Co. as an insurance underwriter.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph Arnold Cofer, Sr.; a son, Joseph A."Joe" Cofer, Jr., Hixson; daughter, Laura Bean, East Ridge; sister, Jenny Swearingen, Chattanooga; two brothers, Harvey Woollen, Palm Bay, Fla.; and Roy Lee Woollen, Atlanta; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home, East, with the Rev. David Clay officiating.
Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
