Charles Richard Seely, 44, died at 8:35 a.m. Thursday, July 17, shortly after he was admitted to St. Joseph's Hospital suffering from an apparent heart attack. Mr. Seely had lived in Wellington 20 years and for a number of years had been employed by Gene Bawcom to do farm work. He was born June 20, 1925, the son of H.W. and Laura Barns Seely.
Survivors include his wife Mrs. Margarite Seely of Wellington; three sons and five daughters; Troy Don Seely, Alfa Don Seely, Mrs. Michael Gilmore, Edith Hicks, Debbie Hicks, Sharlotte Hicks, and Ardla Seely, all of Wellington and Sammy Hicks of Seattle, WA. Also surviving are five brothers and three sisters; Jack Seely, Carrol Seely, Calvin Seely, and Dub Seely of Fort Worth; Clois Seely of Blue Mountain; Mrs. Frances Kittrell of Thatcher, AZ; Mrs. G.D. Rodgers of Quincy, IL; and Mrs. Nell Fairchild of Amarlllo.
