Alfie Seely, age 31, life long resident of Wellington, died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 1997 in Oklahoma City, OK. Alfie was born June 14, 1966 in Wellington to Charles and Margaruite Fincher Seely. He
graduated from Wellington High School in 1984. Alfie was an Eagle Scout and scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America Troop for several years. He attended Texas State Technical Institute and worked for Collingsworth County as a dispatcher and jailer for the past nine years. Alfie and Crickette Hunter were married May 3, 1986
in Wellington. He was a member of Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Crickette, of the home; three sons, Alfie Don Seely Jr., Richard Oran Seely, Wiley Bill Seely, all of Wellington; his mother, Margaruite Seely and grandmother, Vernie Fincher, both of Wellington; A brother, Sammy Hicks of Memphis, TN; five sisters, Ardia Gray of Strawn; Charlotte Hicks of Kissimmee, FL; Edith Hicks and Debbie Porter, both of Wellington and Shirley Sanderson of Hollis; seven nephews, six nieces and five great-nephews.
