Funeral services for Anna L. Aanenson, 89, resident of Rock County since she came from Norway in 1906, were conducted Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church in Luverne.

Burial was in Maplewood Cemetery.

The Rev. Allan Nelson and Rev. Gary Danielson officiated. Arlin Gyberg, Douglas Aanenson, Greg Aanenson, Larry Aanenson, Kendal Braa, David Aanenson, Harold Roemeling, Jr., and Curtis Gyberg were pallbearers.

Engebretson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Anna Aanenson died Wednesday at her home in Luverne.

She was born Sept. 29, 1892, in Liknes Sogn, Kvinsdahl, Norway. She attend school in Norway and came to the United States on April 25, 1906.

Anna Moi and Theodore Aanenson were married Nov. 25, 1907, in Luverne. They farmed in Rock County until 1966 when they moved to Luverne.

Anna Aanenson was affiliated with Grace Lutheran Church in Luverne.

She is survived by eight children, Selma (Mrs. Sig) Gyberg, Beaver Creek, Aanen Aanenson, Anoka, Arnie Aanenson, Luverne, Selmer Aanenson, Luverne, Luella (Mrs. Charles) Braa, Luverne, Erling Aanenson, Sweetwater, TX, Edwin Aanenson, Luverne, Theodore Aanenson, Sioux Falls; twenty-four grandchildren and thirty-four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, three daughters, two sons, one grandchild, her parents, four brothers and four sisters.
